About the job

As a Software Developer (Emerging Careers) in the Customer Intelligence Division at SAS, you’ll join a team of talented engineers working collaboratively to deliver leading edge, innovative digital marketing solutions.

With our intelligent marketing and advertising solutions, customers craft touchpoints and journeys to propel them into the future. As a Software Developer (Emerging Careers), you will:

• Design and develop high quality software solutions.
• Produce scalable and efficient code based on requirements within a continuous delivery pipeline.
• Ensure the security and performance of our software.
• Address production issues, provide quick resolutions, and prioritize customer experience in all development efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain accountability for the entire life cycle of the code.

Required qualifications 

• 2+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Demonstrable experience with the Java programming language
• Solid understanding and experience with JSON and RESTful APIs
• An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Amazon Web Services, or similar cloud offerings
• Knowledge of additional AWS services (Kafka, Lambda, ECR/ECS, SQS, SNS, OpenSearch, Redis, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Familiarity with microservices
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Effective test automation experience
• Experience building DevOps-enabled software solutions
• Experience with container management systems, such as Kubernetes
• Usage of Git, GitHub, GitLab, and/or Jenkins
• Proficiency in Python programming language
