Smith+Nephew is hiring a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant with French for Swiss Cluster.
We are looking for a French-speaking, talented Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team. The candidate’s focus will be on the legal entity’s accounting and internal controls, payroll, and Share Save scheme reconciliation. This role will report directly to the Swiss Cluster Controller and be responsible for ensuring high-quality and timely reporting to local, group, and regulatory stakeholders.
The role will be responsible for partnering with the entity’s cross-functional teams and individuals such as customer service, operations, and R&D teams on transactional matters. The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant may also be involved in other ad-hoc projects as well as interact with the entity’s Management Team.
What you will be doing?
Manage accurate, complete accounting (IFRS) and timely closing of the Atracsys accounts
Execute and report the associated controls
Coordinate development of Zen system to improve response to finance/accounting needs
Coordinate and facilitate Accounting/Finance/Tax/Corporate Governance-related topics within the legal entity
Coordinate and facilitate Treasury activities (I/C loan with PLC, FX purchase, evaluate hedging needs)
Ensure all financial activities comply with international accounting standards and regulations
Prepare, coordinate the legal entity’s statutory accounts with the Swiss team support
Supervise and reconcile the Swiss Share Save scheme
What will you need to be successful?
Experience: 5+ years in finance and accounting, with expertise in IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting tools like Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
Languages: Fluency in French (written and spoken)
Nice to have: Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, and proficiency in MS Office, UDP
Skills: Strong analytical thinking, communication, problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
