Role Overview

Sodexo is hiring a Culinary Operations Manager for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford Medicine located in Palo Alto, California.

 

We are looking for an experienced Culinary Operations Manager to oversee our culinary operations. This role focuses on procurement, inventory management, financial oversight, and collaboration with the culinary and food services teams to ensure exceptional service and maintain quality standards.

What You'll Do

  • Procurement Leadership: Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and source high-quality ingredients and supplies while ensuring consistency and cost efficiency.

  • Inventory Management: Optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and enforce best practices for inventory control and food safety.

  • Food Cycle Management: Lead all aspects of the food cycle, including menu development, procurement, forecasting, production, waste tracking, and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years   

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
