Toolmaker - Level 4/5 - 2nd Shift

As a Toolmaker - Level 4/5 at SpaceX, your responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, applying welding techniques, solving unpredictable field issues through creative design, maintaining optimal conditions for all assembly parts, and fabricating support equipment. You will also utilize your knowledge of metrology to ensure high-quality standards and perform rigging for large components.

To be qualified for the Toolmaker - Level 4/5 position at SpaceX, you need a high school diploma and at least 5 years of professional experience in metrology or machining. Preferred qualifications include an associate's degree in the relevant field and completion of an accredited apprenticeship program, as well as experience in weld fabrication and millwright operations.

The Toolmaker - Level 4/5 position at SpaceX follows a 2nd Shift schedule, typically from Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Given the nature of SpaceX’s operations, flexibility for overtime and weekend work is often required, along with a willingness to travel to launch sites.
