Day in the Life: 

We are seeking a full-time dedicated and skilled Pharmacist to join our Specialty non-pediatrics nights team at St. Luke’s in Boise, Idaho. This is a night-shift role with rotating weekends and holidays.

 

In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Pediatrics pharmacy solutions and help to grow this expanding team. 

 

As the team evolves, there may be occasional requirements to work weekends and holidays to meet operational needs.

 

What to Expect: 

  • Provide comprehensive pharmacy patient care services on the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide patient medication use needs to support safe and effective drug therapy management
  • Participates in daily quality/clinical review of patients’ profiles to ensure appropriate medication utilization and provides counseling as appropriate
  • Supervise and authorize the work of technicians, externs, interns, and support staff

 

  • Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document findings and actions in accordance with standards of the medical center
  • Serve as a role model and participate in the training of technicians, students, residents, and other department staff
  • Opportunities to provide drug information and educational presentations to medical professionals
  • Collaborates on development and review of care standards and guidelines
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

 

 Qualifications: 

  • Education: Degree from an accredited pharmacy program
  • Valid Idaho Pharmacist License

Preferred experience:

  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program or equivalent experience
  • PALS certification
  • Board Certification (BCPS or BCPPS)
  • Pediatric experience, either by having at least one (1) year of hospital inpatient experience specific to pediatrics or a pediatric specialty residency
