The purpose of a DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING is to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to solicit group business to the hotel, as well as to generate and optimize overall revenues, through marketing, sales, promotion, advertising and public relations that will impact positively on the hotel resulting in a profitable return on the investment. This should be done in a way to maximize profits through creative selling and selection processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); college level sales / marketing classes or Business Degree preferred.
4 to 6 years of hands-on sales experience in a full-service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
