The anticipated salary range for this role is between $152,000.00 and $200,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

The Deposit and Cash Management Relationship Manager will work with Relationship Managers to drive the bank's deposit and cash management growth.  In this role, you will be the primary contact for commercial clients and all their depository needs.  Utilizing your knowledge of cash management services, you will provide customized solutions that will enhance the clients' cash flow, account management, and fraud prevention.  You'll work with RM's and independently to source deposit centric clients that will strengthen the bank's deposit base.

Role Objectives: Delivery

  • Co-Manage commercial client relationships
  • Develop your own lead sources to target deposit centric client relationships
  • Lead client discussions regarding deposit and cash management services
  • Strong sense of ownership and full accountability as a Deposit Relationship Manager
  • Ability to develop, build and nurture relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Use tools consultative to develop a deep understanding of clients' needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Lead sales initiatives to achieve target goals
  • Prepare and present proposals regarding deposit and cash management services to clients and prospects  

Position Specifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service/relationship skills
  • Meet with top tier clients in person
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Cash Management Services
  • Experience with Commercial Banking clients
  • Detail oriented and time management skills
  • Understanding the banks risk and compliance policies to protect the bank from losses
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Abilit to learn multiple bank systems
  • Proficient in Salesforce, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
