Head of Real Estate

The Head of Real Estate will be responsible for the overall business and functions with the objective to develop a real estate business that is sustainable and scalable, built on strong fundamentals. The role would include:

  • Define the real estate private equity investment strategy, including target markets, asset classes, and investment structures.
  • Lead deal sourcing, evaluation, underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and execution of real estate investments.
  • Drive asset value enhancement through active management, repositioning, leasing, redevelopment, or operational improvements.
  • Assess investment risk and ensure compliance with internal risk management frameworks and investment policies.
  • Develop and present investment papers, market outlooks, and exit strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of real estate investment professionals across various seniority levels.
  • Report regularly to the Head of Investment and investment committee on portfolio performance, market conditions, and investment outlook.
    • Degree in Real Estate, Building, Marketing, Business, Finance or equivalent. A master's degree in these disciplines will be an advantage.
    • At least 15 years of experience in real estate including deal sourcing, acquisition, deal execution, asset management, marketing & leasing, banking & finance, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position. Experience in real estate private equity and the United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore markets will be an advantage.
    • Thorough knowledge of real estate cycles, deal structuring, corporate structuring, tax and legal.
    • Strong knowledge of real estate and negotiation skills, and familiarity with legal framework and corporate structuring
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal qualities, with high ethical and professional standards.
