You will work closely with product and engineering teams to craft a delightful end-to-end customer experience across a full range of design practices. In this role you’ll need to cultivate a deep understanding of the needs of our customers, have strong visual design skills, ideate on concepts through prototypes and user feedback, and ensure that we deliver human-centered solutions. You’ll work on both web and mobile experiences, across multiple devices, to help design an integrated experience that creates deep customer engagement and delivers exponential business growth.
A Day in the life:
Collaborate and partner with product and engineering to identify requirements, use cases, and user journeys to create the most impactful improvements to our products.
Perform user research (qualitative and quantitative), user testing, and competitive market analysis to ensure our products are human-centered.
Create personas, journey maps, and user flows to help visualize and communicate end-to-end experiences.
Illustrate and communicate complex design solutions across use cases by creating workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups.
Collaborate with engineering throughout the product development lifecycle to iterate on and deliver a great customer experience and launch new features.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for our design system aimed at helping designers and developers share and implement components.
Regularly monitor critical metrics of the user experience to identify opportunities for improvement.
Brainstorm ideas for better UI/UX and continuously iterate upon them.
Help champion the causes of design thinking and usability testing within the organization.
Facilitate workshops to extract valuable insights.
Perform other duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree or extensive industry experience in relevant design discipline.
5+ years of experience designing within a cross-functional product organization.
Experience collaborating with design teams and cross-functionally with product leads and engineers.
Experience with agile implementation methodologies.
Prior experience with Figma or similar UI design software.
Additional skills and abilities we’re seeking:
Strong understanding of design principles
A passion for shared knowledge and support of a learning culture.
Comfortable with an iterative design process including giving and receiving feedback.
Demonstrated ability to incorporate design thinking into the product development process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to flex communication style with technical and non-technical users.
