POSITION OVERVIEW
TED-Ed is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to drive the global adoption and expansion of the TED-Ed programs in schools, districts and education organizations. In this role, you will help to strengthen and grow our existing TED-Ed programs. You’ll also play a pivotal role in designing, launching, and scaling a new global professional development program for educators. This individual will liaison with TED-Ed and key external partners, including educators, principals, superintendents, and non-profit leaders.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who can effectively convey the value of TED-Ed’s programs to diverse stakeholders. They should be skilled at managing multiple high-level external relationships, crafting compelling narratives and proposals, and ensuring that program messaging is clear, scalable, and aligned with the education industry's language and needs. Strong program management and data-analysis skills will also be essential to measure impact and refine program strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead program execution and scaling: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of multiple TED-Ed programs within multiple partner school districts and organizations concurrently.
Co-manage pilot program implementation: Co-manage the initial pilot program of TED-Ed Programs new educator-focused professional development program, refine its structure based on insights, and facilitate its expansion to schools and education organizations.
Manage key external relationships: Cultivate and maintain partnerships with schools, districts, educational organizations, and other stakeholders to drive program adoption.
Establish efficient tracking systems: Create and maintain evergreen systems that organize stakeholder conversations, monitor relationship status, document key insights, and ensure seamless communication and collaboration across the TED-Ed team.
Develop compelling narratives and proposals: Clearly communicate the program’s value to potential partners, ensuring messaging is scalable and aligned with education industry needs.
Support professional development efforts: Design and deliver engaging, scalable training sessions, workshops, and resources for educators to implement TED-Ed programs effectively.
Deliver thought leadership and advocacy: Represent TED-Ed at key conferences, events, and meetings with stakeholders to promote TED-Ed programs and their impact.
Monitor program impact and iterate: Use data-driven insights and participant feedback to continuously refine and improve program design and execution.
Passion for education and TED-Ed’s mission to empower students and educators through the sharing of ideas.
Exceptional communicator with strong written and verbal skills, able to craft persuasive narratives, proposals, and presentations for diverse education stakeholders.
Proven experience in program management (5+ years), leading the design, execution, and scaling of education programs.
Expert relationship-builder, with a track record of successfully partnering with school district leaders, principals, superintendents, and non-profit organizations.
Deep understanding of K-12 education systems, educator professional development, and relevant industry language.
Strategic thinker with the ability to iterate program design based on feedback and data insights.
Analytical mindset, skilled in using data to measure impact and inform program improvements.
Collaborative and adaptable, thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and works well across teams.
Public speaking and facilitation experience, confident in leading presentations, training sessions, and workshops for educators and administrators.
Salary Range: 100-110k USD
