Associate Scrum Master

About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of our client for an Associate Scrum Master to support agile project delivery and foster a culture of collaboration within the team. The ideal candidate will assist in facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring that Agile principles are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Scrum Master in facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Help the team to define and refine their goals and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the removal of obstacles and impediments faced by the development team.
  • Promote Agile principles and practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-defined and prioritized for each sprint.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting the team’s progress through metrics and burn-down charts.
  • Encourage open communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between the technical team and stakeholders to facilitate understanding and cooperation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Agile methodologies, preferably in a Scrum Master or team support role.
  • Basic understanding of Agile principles and Scrum framework.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Trello, or similar is a plus.
  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent are desirable but not mandatory.
