JOB DESCRIPTION  

 

Provides indirect care under the direction of the management team and Charge Nurse by entering medical orders into records and ensuring accurate documentation. Coordinates patient admissions, discharges, and transfers with healthcare providers and transport teams. Maintains a clean work area, follows infection control practices, and adheres to HIPAA regulations. Assists staff in patient transport, restocking supplies, retrieving blood products, and monitoring EKG telemetry rhythms. Communicates with nurses about patient conditions, manages telemetry equipment, and performs other duties as assigned to support the department and ensure efficient operations.  

 

 

Qualifications  
 

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE : 2 years hospital experience preferred. Medical terminology is strongly recommended . Previous experience in clerical or receptionist position required . Prior telemetry training preferred.  
 

EDUCATION : High School graduate or equivalent . Completes all mandatory education as required and assigned.  
 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY : BLS certification required . Telemetry training/certification required within 6 months of hire.
