Summary of Job Responsibilities

The internship position within the Corporate Finance and Accounting department of The Standard involves a wide range of duties and activities. The goal of an internship in accounting is to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world situations, as well as gain the skills and experience that is necessary to prepare the student for a successful career in the finance or accounting fields. Activities for the internship position within the Corporate Finance and Accounting department of The Standard include:

  • assistance with financial close and reporting
  • accounting policy research
  • account reconciliations outages
  • review and validation of analytical models
  • create and update processing task documents to support key positions
  • peer company analysis
  • process improvement projects
  • workplace adaptability while being resilient in recovering from setbacks and difficulties.
  • observation and meeting with executive leadership
  • other duties as assigned.

During the duration of the internship the candidate will be assigned to one manager to oversee their day-to-day work, however, there may be opportunities to work with several different teams in the division. The work will be conducted in an all-virtual remote environment.  

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

19.00/hr-$22.00/hr

Positions will be posted for at least 5 days from original posting date.
