Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Wonderful Scholar for a full-time 8-week internship. In this position, you will gain hands-on professional experience and learn how the department runs.

This position is located in Shafter, CA, beginning June 16, 2025.  The schedule for this internship is 8am-5pm, M-F (Start time may vary based on seasonal demand).  

Job Description

  • Provide day-to-day support to EH&S Director and team as we serve the Wonderful business units in the California Central Valley.
  • Provide support to our Process Safety Manager and Business Units in the areas of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plans (RMP).
  • Provide support in the development of Safety & Environmental training and development material.
  • Plan and organize work and develop procedures to meet requirements.
  • Travel to various Business Units in the Central Valley and Paso Robles.
  • Assisting other Safety personnel in other duties as assigned.
  • Consistently meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Must be above the age of 18 and currently be eligible for the Wonderful Scholarship
  • Must upload a resume, professional reference, and cover letter with your application
  • Focus within the following college majors is desired: Environmental Health and Safety, Public Health, Engineering and Architecture, or Teaching and Education.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and able to work autonomously 
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
