In a nutshell

As an intern, you will research new way to develop, package and deploy applications in the next generation infotainment system based on Automotive Grade Linux.

Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

           

Within Electronics Engineering division, the Software Development and Tooling team is developing applications, platforms and processes towards achieving the Software Defined Vehicle, contributing to consortiums and researching new technologies and trends in Europe.

 

Your project

 

  • Get familiar with AGL and infotainment Software Development Kit
  • Acquire capability and knowledge to generate flash-able image
  • Benchmark open-source technologies applicable to AGL to securely and safely develop, package and deploy new application for infotainment system
  • Experiment selected technology on prototype and demonstrate to management
  • Document new development and deployment process
  • Support automation of new process

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • You are enrolled into a master on computer science (embedded software), electronics engineering, automotive engineering
  • You have already demonstrated programming skills in past projects (Python, C++, Rust…)
  • You are familiar with the Linux development environment, packaging systems, android debugger.
  • You know the basics of container technology

Confidentiality

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
