Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

The Advanced Technology division is responsible for creating cutting edge technology breakthroughs which meet the future challenges of the automotive and manufacturing industry and brings a smile to our customers’ face. By combining in-house research activities with a wide research network across Europe, we conceive, incubate and test novel concepts in virtual and real-world environments before they are handed downstream towards future product development.

 

Your project

As part of the robotics team you will be responsible for developing, testing, and integrating computer vision and robotics algorithms for smart city and factory applications. Tasks include:

  • Scientific research to create world class computer vision, machine learning and robotics algorithms, with a strong focus on hardware integration and testing
  • Implementation, evaluation and optimization of algorithms
  • Development of methods for the generation of synthetic data for deep learning

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • Computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics or equivalent background
  • Strong interest in robotics, computer vision and machine learning
  • Excellent programming skills in Python
  • Experience with ROS 1/2, OpenCV and PyTorch libraries
  • Good (documented) problem solving skills
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
