Summary of Job Duties:

The Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Innovation (SEVI) Department in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a non-tenure track Instructor position beginning August 11, 2025. An Instructor is expected to teach eight courses per year with a mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed, normally with no more than two course preparations per semester. The teaching assignment will emphasize a “Business Foundations” or “Strategic Management” course, but will also include other undergraduate courses as needed, or expertise allows.

Regular on-campus availability, in-person teaching, and active contribution to the life of the department, including exhibiting respect and cooperation in shared academic and administrative tasks are essential duties.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business or a business-related field

  • Relevant industry experience

  • Commitment to working with diverse populations

  • Willingness to learn and develop competency in classroom technology

  • Willingness to teach within coordinated course environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Prior teaching experience in higher education or a College of Business setting, including online classes

  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and significant creation of instructional materials or methods

  • Prior experience with Blackboard course management systems, Turning Point Clickers, and video conferencing

  • Experience creating online content, including familiarity with video production software

  • 5 years or more of practical experience
