Responsibilities

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Exercise Physiologist is an advanced healthcare professional who utilizes education, diagnostic, and therapeutic modalities to design individualized treatment plans to improve the quality of life for each patient. The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the rehabilitative needs of the patient with chronic lung disease.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years acute hospital clinical experience as a Registered Nurse. For critical care areas, two of these years within the last five must be in ICU, IMC, or similar type unit as an RN One (1) year OR greater current (within 5 years) experience as charge nurse or nursing management is required.
  • Completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or health related field
  • Current and unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.  Certifications: CPR/BLS, ACLS, CT

 

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

  • Certification in related clinical specialty area. Previous experience in organized labor environment. Experience managing productivity, time and attendance, and employee performance issues.
  • Will consider candidate currently enrolled in Bachelor's program with anticipated completion date within 18 months of hire.
