Facilities/HVAC Project Manager

 

A facilities project engineer's responsibilities include schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for mechanical engineering and other technical activities relating to the building project, and engineering project delivery management. They will oversee performance management of HVAC/Plumbing and Building Envelope vendors/contractors. The project engineer must be available to help United Service teams on tasks and other items that may come their way that pertain to facilities operation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Ensure that technical specifications are met
  • Manage building construction progress and scheduling of engineering project
  • Review design and bidding documents from mechanical engineers
  • Evaluate contractor bids
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Address any issues that arise during construction
  • Overcome obstacles that arise
  • Evaluate engineering project performance
  • Must be able to resource Service Now tickets for completion and escalation

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Must be familiar around the computer. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Plumbing, HVAC, Building Envelope knowledge is preferred
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a HVAC Mechanical Project Engineer
  • Must have good communications skills for internal/external clients
  • Report and escalate to leadership as needed
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Be a self-starter with strong independent work ethic
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with large diverse teams
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Translate requirements into tasks
  • Experience with task scheduling and resource assignment
