Special Programs Coordinator

 

UWM is seeking a Special Programs Coordinator to promote community awareness of our people-centric culture and mission of helping others. In addition to engaging the local community, you will also engage with our 8,000+ Team Members every day. You will help our users with navigating through our Pay It Forward charitable platform and network with outside charities/foundations both locally and nationally. This will involve management of relationships with our existing partners, and developing new ways for our Team Members to interact with the community and learn about different events.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Collaborating and building relationships with foundations, vendor partners, and make sure that they align with our culture and service levels.
  • Working with Executive Leadership, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business needs, execute strategies, and identify growth opportunities for the UPerk platform.
  • Designing and deploying new initiatives for our Team Members to experience ways of giving back, experiencing new vendors and partner perks, and finding ways to collaborate and create ways to support our local community and businesses.
  • Performing quarterly analysis and making recommendations for maximizing the impact of the use of our vendor platform.
  • Conducting daily research on geographic trends and happenings to identify where we can get involved and make a difference.
  • Embracing the high potential for professional growth in this position and in our organization.
  • Raising awareness in communities and organizations to promote the benefits of community efforts within UWM.
  • Serving as a “brand ambassador” for the Engagement Team and the UWM brand.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Must Have Qualifications:

    • 1+ years of professional experience in community relations, non-profit development, and/or corporate stewardship and outreach program management
    • Coursework toward a Degree in Marketing, PR, or Communications
    • Excellent communication skills and content development
    • Experience working with the philanthropic community
    • Perfected customer service skills
    • Ability to independently learn new systems quickly
    • Aptitude with data, using data-marts, and spreadsheets
    • Experience taking outside of the box ideas and making them real, preferably in a large corporate organization
