How we LEAD:
UMG West Coast Labels is comprised of the Capitol Music Group and the Interscope Geffen A&M Music Group. This position will be responsible for supporting UMG West Coast Labels vendor payment processes and vendor setup for the Finance department. Responsibilities include: creating POs and issuing payments on behalf of the Finance department, setting up vendors on behalf of the Finance department reconciling budgets in Uniport monthly/quarterly, working closely with the other departments on a day-to-day basis to manage their budgets.
How you’ll CREATE:
Creating purchase orders and reservations on behalf of the Label departments
Issuing high volume payments to vendors on behalf of the Label departments
Ensuring purchase orders and invoices are within UMG compliance policy
Assist in project setup in UMG PO system (Uniport)
Assist with budget maintenance in UMG PO system (Uniport)
Work closely with the Finance Director and VP’s during the quarterly & monthly close process
Assist with ad-hoc reporting and month end close, as needed
Handle new vendor set-ups and vendor management for the Label departments
Have an understanding of the overall scope of the project’s budget and different vendors associated in order to anticipate invoices ahead of time
Work with the Central Accounting team to issue JEs and other marketing-related accounting entries
Bring your VIBE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or Finance preferred or related degree
Some SAP and previous experience with Accounts Payable is a plus
1-2 years in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment
Strong computer skills – understanding of Microsoft Excel and Financial Payment Systems
Experience using the Uniport payment system preferred
Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with employees of the company at all levels including Senior Management
Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with external partners
Strong people skills & communication skills needed to liaise with external vendors in particular
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Ability to work under high pressure, deadlines and speed
Must be flexible, able to multi-task and manage time effectively

Salary Range:
