The University of Louisville's Institutional Research Department is seeking to hire an Institutional Research Analyst II or III.
1 position available. Position will be filled at the Institutional Research Analyst II or Institutional Research Analyst III level based on candidate qualifications.
Job Summary
The Institutional Research Analyst II supports the Office of Institutional Research (IR) by completing generally routine and ad-hoc data requests and conducting routine and occasionally complex data analysis.
The Institutional Research Analyst II will work collaboratively within the IR team to ensure data integrity and will support the team by contributing to the completion of large-scale projects. Providing a high-level of customer service, this position will communicate with internal stakeholders to build professional relationships, assess any data needs of the departments, and to follow-up on any needed items to maintain timely completion of data requests that are made to the office.
Job Summary
The Institutional Research Analyst III supports the Office of Institutional Research (IR) by completing data requests and conducting complex data analysis. This position serves as a lead within the Institutional Research team mentoring other analysts in their professional development.
The Institutional Research Analyst III will work collaboratively within the IR team to ensure data integrity and will support the team by leading and designing large-scale projects. Providing a high-level of customer service, this position will communicate with internal stakeholders to build professional relationships, assess any data needs of the departments, and to follow-up on any needed items to maintain timely completion of data requests that are made to the office.
The Institutional Research Analyst III will occasionally represent the University and the Office of Institutional Research on university committees and during professional conferences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide data support for the university’s administration and academic units.
Conduct the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data to stakeholders with varying levels of data knowledge.
Create and maintain data visualizations using SAS Visual Analytics.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems and reports.
Complete required state and federal reporting.
Complete benchmarking surveys, external surveys, and ad hoc data requests.
Follow-up with departments on data requests to ensure timely completion
Serve as a technical co-lead on enterprise systems and platforms.
Collaborate with departments to identify and address data needs.
Lead or contribute to large-scale institutional research projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with higher education data
Experience with statistical software (e.g., Base SAS, SPSS, R, or Python) and data visualization tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
