The Role:

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Developer Relations Lead to bridge the gap between our platform and the developer community, as well as enterprise customers. In this role, you’ll be the voice of our company to developers and technical decision-makers, evangelizing our platform, creating educational content, and building strong relationships to drive adoption and success. 

This is a unique opportunity to shape our developer ecosystem and make a lasting impact at an early-stage startup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocacy & Evangelism: Act as a public-facing champion of our platform, representing Vapi at various developer platform, events, social channels to inspire developers and enterprises to build with our tools.

  • Community Building: Grow and nurture our developer community by engaging with users through forums, social media (e.g., Twitter/X, Discord), and other channels, while gathering feedback to inform product development.

  • Content Creation: Develop high-quality technical content, including tutorials, blog posts, sample code, documentation, and video demos, independently and with top influencers/YouTube creators to help developers onboard and succeed with our platform. 

  • Technical Enablement: Partner with customers and developers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and showcase how our platform solves real-world challenges in building voice agents.

  • Feedback Loop: Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to relay community insights, advocate for developer needs, and ensure our platform evolves to meet user expectations.

  • Metrics & Growth: Define and track KPIs to measure community engagement, platform adoption, and developer satisfaction, iterating strategies accordingly.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in developer relations, software engineering, or a related technical role, with hands-on experience building or supporting developer tools, APIs, or platforms. Ideally in a startup or tech platform environment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, from hobbyist developers to enterprise CTOs.

  • Proven experience growing and engaging technical communities, with a knack for building trust and excitement among developers.

  • Experience working with enterprise clients and understanding their needs in adopting developer tools.

  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment where you’ll take ownership and wear multiple hats.

  • Bonus: Experience with voice agent technologies, AI/ML, or scalable platform products.
