Credentialed Vet Tech (Relief)

VCA Animal Medical and Dental Group is looking for a Relief, experienced Veterinary Technician.

RVT certification is required. Responsibilities require proficiency in Phlebotomy, IV Catheter Placement as well as Surgical, Dental, and Anesthesia experience. The ideal candidate will also possess great client communication skills, attention to detail and a desire to work in a great team atmosphere. Salary will be based on the level of experience. 

Compensation : $30.00 - $ 34.00 / hr depending on credentials and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Venipuncture

• Catheter placement

• Radiology

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Physical examinations and patient assessment

• Surgical preparation and assisting

• Dentistry

• Laboratory work

• Pharmacy

• Patient recovery

• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience

• Hold a current RVT license

• Must have surgery and dentistry experience

• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays

• Customer service skills including Phone skills

• Working knowledge of computers

• Excellent communications skills

• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
