Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA to:

Develop enhancements and modifications to existing software and develop extensible code that complies with design specifications and meets security best practices.
Implements automation to improve effectiveness and efficiencies of systems and tools and supports development and implementation of new automation.
Engage with product engineering teams and product owners during code/design reviews, regular meetings, on-call rotations, and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles.
Leverage advanced knowledge of systems/platforms and telemetry analyses to propose isolated improvements in code, processes, and designs to more effectively deliver customer/business objectives.
Position reports to the Employer’s Atlanta, GA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
Java programming.
Spring, Hibernate, and RDBMS technologies.
REST and JSON.
Agile development incorporating TDD, CI/CD, Git, Maven, and Jenkins.

Additional Information

Worksite: Atlanta, GA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $105,227.00USD to $155,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
