SW Engineer - Full Stack - job 8 of 20

This Software Engineer role is for a self-motivated individual with excellent software engineering skills on SAAS based platforms. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining various critical solutions that integrates with internal/external systems, or works standalone. You will be working closely with business on various requirements and ensure a strong partnership with all stakeholders. This role is for an individual whose experience with software development forms a strong basis for designing scalable and resilient integration that ensures highest quality and availability.

Essential Functions:

  • As a SW Engineer, you will build and support lasting, scalable, and secure solutions which deliver a delightful user experience, are resilient, and promote learning.
  • Continue to learn about the industry, propose new learning and payments solutions to meet future needs.
  • Adhere to SDLC governance framework.
  • Install, review, analyze and evaluate existing solutions, recommend technologies for incubation and future solutions, and help implement recommendations for longevity, stability, performance, and availability.
  • Engage with product managers,  and users to ensure that the right learning platforms and content providers are available and accessible to Visa employees and clients around the world.
  • Provide technical leadership and partner with technology groups such as Engineering, Network, Security, and Infrastructure on project delivery activities.
  • Design and own integrations for SaaS and hosted applications.
  • Produce development artifacts and participate in code-reviews.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing integrations to ensure they are functioning optimally.
  • Ensure highest level of Engineering and Operational Excellence following Visa’s core principles.
  • Participate in vendor assessments and selection.
  • Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and fast paced environment to drive delivery of solutions and meet service levels.

  • This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
