Cybersecurity Engineer

Volton Hellenic Energy SA is a Greek company that is dynamically active and is rapidly increasing its capacity in the field of Electricity Supply and Trading, in the Gas Energy Sector and Telecommunications.

As part of its development, Volton strengthens its human resources in Athens and is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer.

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing Cybersecurity team. This position will assist in most functions regarding Systems and Infrastructure Security, Compliance with Security Regulations for Energy and Telecommunications.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Administer and investigate email and endpoint security reports (phishing, malware, etc.)
  • Conduct cybersecurity awareness training and promote a culture of cybersecurity within the organization
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate on the executing of penetration testing and performing vulnerability assessments
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners regarding security best practices for new and existing projects
  • Execute requests for user information and lawful intervention from local authorities
  • Investigate cases of fraud reported by subscribers
  • Participate in the 24/7 standby rotation team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or a related field
  • 2 years of professional experience in a cybersecurity related position
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA, ISC2, ISACA) will be considered as a plus
  • Experience in administration of Endpoint Security solutions (EDR, XDR), email security, password management etc.
  • Knowledge of security principles, standards and methodologies
  • Understanding of concepts in networking, operating systems, cloud solutions, authentication, SSL certificates
  • Experience in Telecommunication Authority Information requests, Lawful Intervention and fraud cases
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels in the organization and partners, both in Greek and English
