Head of FP&A

With Intelligence are currently recruiting an experienced Head of FP&A to join our London-based finance team. In this role you will lead all aspects of FP&A activities (reporting, planning, forecasting and analysis) and provide exceptional business partnering to our senior leadership team.

We are a leading provider of business intelligence, data and insights for the global asset management industry. We provide high-value, specialist business information to niche target audiences in the alternative and traditional fund management industries and employ over 650 staff globally.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Own the Group budgeting and planning process.
  • Support the Group FD and CFO in all stakeholder communications, including preparation for Board meetings and shareholder and bank presentations.
  • Responsible for analysing monthly results, including comparison to budgets/prior year and providing relevant financial insights for decision-making.
  • Responsible for covenant compliance.
  • Provide exceptional business partnering, supporting and collaborating with the senior leadership team to jointly achieve their goals, and the overall business goals of growth, innovation and staying at the forefront of our industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
  • Work with budget owners to ensure maximum cost efficiency, ensuring all cost saving opportunities are captured and tracked.
  • Prepare businesses cases for business investments/projects and track subsequent performance.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline financial reporting and forecasting processes.
  • Ownership of the sales commission calculations.
  • Coach, guide and mentor an FP&A team of 2 to support their ongoing development and progression as skilled financial professionals.

 

 

 

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA / CIMA / ACCA ideally with proven experience in FP&A.
  • Proven experience of working in financial planning and analysis, ideally in a PE backed business.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Curious with high emotional intelligence.
  • Able to demonstrate commercial acumen.
  • A great communicator with the ability to influence and empathise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A Self Starter with proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
