Senior Travel & Expense (T&E) Analyst

The Senior Travel & Expense (T&E) Analyst is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the travel and expense operations across the assigned region. This role ensures policy compliance, process efficiency, cost control, and vendor management, while driving improvements through data analysis and automation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with finance, procurement, HR, and travel providers to enhance the employee travel experience while maintaining financial discipline.

Travel & Expense Program Oversight:

  • Enforces T&E policies, ensuring alignment with corporate and regional regulations.
  • Oversee expense reporting and approval workflows in Concur, SAP, or other T&E platforms.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in travel and expense management.
  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Address escalations related to travel bookings, reimbursements, and policy violations.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with travel agencies, credit card providers (e.g., Amex), and expense management vendors.
  • Service level agreements management with travel and expense service providers.
  • Ensure smooth integration and optimization of travel booking tools and corporate card programs.

Financial & Data Analytics:

  • Analyze T&E spending trends, identifying inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
  • Develop and present reports and dashboards for senior management, providing insights on travel and expense behaviors.
  • Monitor budget adherence and implement measures to reduce unnecessary expenses.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate expense allocation and reconciliation.

Process Optimization & Compliance:

  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline T&E processes and reduce manual intervention.
  • Lead policy training and communication to ensure employees understand travel guidelines.
  • Conduct regular audits to detect fraud, misuse, or non-compliance in expense reports.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in T&E management, finance operations, or travel procurement.
