The rude customers and mean girl vibesWe’re focused on cultivating an associate experience where everyone is welcome, feels a sense of belonging, and inspired to thrive. We work closely with associates and external organizations to elevate and confirm our commitments to diversity and inclusion.
TAKING ACTION ON DIVERSITY
Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion has four key areas of focus:
• Expanding the Diversity of our Teams: We champion diversity to ensure our teams are representative of our customers and communities.
• Fostering Inclusive Workplaces: Building and implementing a learning model to support inclusive leadership.
• Mitigating Bias & Barriers: Offering continuous learning to allow for individual accountability and consistently reviewing systems and process to mitigate bias.
• Driving accountability: We cultivate and maintain psychologically safe environments through policy support, associate programs, and communications.
PROMOTING EMPOWERMENT & WELLBEING
At LOFT, we are devoted to supporting women – our customers, associates, and partners – through causes that make a positive impact on women’s health and empowerment. We bring this commitment to life in our communities by:
• Hosting volunteer opportunities that foster a sense of unity, purpose, and empathy.
• Supporting our associates and causes they care about through our Give Back Programs: The Associate Fund, Donation Match, and Volunteer Match.
• Giving thousands of students and teachers across the country funding for school projects and supplies with DonorsChoose.
• Raising $58 million dollars over 19 years to fund the impactful, lifesaving preventative research of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY
Throughout the year, we host volunteer opportunities that foster a sense of unity, purpose, and empathy. From disaster relief efforts to supporting organizations that provide clothing, funds, or support, we are united in supporting communities in need.
We also build community through our Associate Resource Groups. These are associate-led groups that bring together people with shared experiences and identities to provide support and promote a culture of inclusion. Current groups include:
• Pride @ Work: We welcome LGBTQ associates and allies for networking and community building activities. We host events on topics related to inclusion and belonging.
• iRISE: This groups aims to help early career professionals and associates changing career paths learn how to build a strong foundation for a successful career. Support for members includes development resources, networking and wellness events, plus soft skills training to improve areas like communication and organization.
• Working Parents: Engage with other parents and caregivers to help foster better work/life balance for personal and professional success.
