Bizly was launched in 2016 around the vision that remote working would be the future, and teams would need a way to get together in-person wherever they needed to work. Fast forward to 2022 and this is now our collective reality.
In 2014, I found myself in a conference room, kicking up water. I was a VC at the time, and the water pipe adjoined to our conference room had sprung a leak. When the team attempted to relocate our meetings to nearby hotels, we learned the hard way just how painful–and manual–the process was. At the time, there was a lack of technology on all sides of the equation. If you wanted to organize a meeting, you had to work through a myriad of workflows around building a guest list, communicating event details, and coordinating logistics. To book the right space, you had to jump through days or even weeks of hoops finding venues, communicating with them, contracting, and paying. The bet we made when we started Bizly was that remote work was going to be the future. We bet that teams would need a streamlined & elevated way to get together wherever they needed to work. And with that, Bizly was born.
