Pros
A career with BP at as Petrophysicist enabled me to take advantage of a wide range of domestic and international working locations, such as Houston, Aberdeen, Port of Spain, Anchorage and Jakarta. This included a total of 15 years overseas.Cons
BP is an oil & gas producer and may not be a good fit for those nervous about the long term prospects in light of the move towards sustainable energy. However, BP is moving in that direction (eg BP Wind, BP Solar) more than other O&G companies and I think O&G is a terrific mid- and long-term career choice and I'm proud to have worked for them.bp is a global company that offers a world of opportunities for both professionals and graduates. You can expect world-class training, the flexibility to realise your full potential and a reward and benefits package that we believe is second-to-none.

Students and graduates
World class programmes for students, graduates, interns, cadets and early years insight courses for students still in school.
We’ve set a new purpose and ambition – to reimagine energy for people and planet and to become a net zero company by 2050, or sooner, and help the world get to net zero.
To achieve those goals and drive value through the energy transition, we’ve defined a new strategy and reorganized the company. Now we are introducing ‘Who we are’ – which we believe will help us create an environment that encourages and supports everyone to perform at their best.
‘Who we are’ defines what we stand for at bp. It builds on our best qualities and those things that are most important to us – our commitment to safety, to speaking up if something doesn’t seem right, compliance, care for others and working together as one integrated bp team – while putting an even greater focus on how we can take bp to the next level.
It comprises three simple beliefs that can inspire each of us at bp to be our best every day. We believe that bringing to life all three of these beliefs will give us the energy and drive to deliver our purpose and ambition.
The introduction of the new culture frame is subject to local law, including works council consultation, where applicable.
We do our best work when we can be our truest, best selves. Ours is a business that recognizes each employee's uniqueness and offers different opportunities and support to reach an equality for all. We’re driven by a responsibility to do things differently and to foster a fairer workplace. Not just because it’s better for our business, but because it’s the right thing to do. That’s what diversity, equity and inclusion means to us. But how does it impact you?
