Pros
Team members who have a heart for the community and have committed to serving expecting moms and bridging the gap both professionally and personally.Cons
There is a prevalent culture of disrespect and mistreatment among staff, creating a very unhealthy atmosphere, diminished employee morale and psychological safety. I have witnessed numerous instances of disrespect towards employees. Ideas and contributions from staff are consistently overlooked and dismissed. Questionable and unethical practices within the company go against the integrity and adherence to ethical health care and human standards. Sexism and discrimination have been distressingly common at Cayaba. There is no real training or room for growth. Those in "leadership" positions are very far removed from the "mission" and objective of the company. CEO and upper management consistently make egotistic decisions that negatively impact staff and patients. There is a complete absence of leadership qualities and skills from the CEO, executives, and managers throughout the entire company and teams. Taking advantage of the vulnerable populations being served is a common practice, leading to further marginalization of those involved. HR does not like to be bothered with matters concerning HR. Honest feedback and expressing concerns to or seeking HR-related assistance are met with a passive-aggressive responses or no response at all. There is a higher chance of getting fired or reprimanded. Pay and compensation are consistently mishandled. This company will take a toll on your mental well-being. I do not recommend this company if you care about your over all wellness.
