Diversity Inclusion:

We understand and are committed to meeting the needs of diverse patients, treating every individual with respect for their values and culture. We realize that every facet of what makes a person unique affects their experience with the disease of addiction and will also influence their treatment and recovery.

At CleanSlate, we understand there can be challenges that arise throughout the recovery process and we pride ourselves on offering support services to help ensure the success of every patient. We recognize some people face a unique set of concerns regarding treatment for their addiction, and we strive to address these concerns with respect and compassion.

These are just some of the many diverse groups we are proud to serve at CleanSlate. We will work with all patients to address their unique needs and ensure they are able to achieve the lives they want and deserve.

LGBTQ :

LGBTQ adults are almost twice as likely to experience a substance use disorder, according to research from SAMHSA. Additionally, members of this community often face stigma and discrimination that can impact substance use. At CleanSlate, we do not tolerate discrimination in any form. We offer specialized treatment options for our LGBTQ patients including support groups that address the unique concerns and needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer patients. We believe the best addiction treatment requires treating the whole person. Our integrated care model combines medication-assisted treatment, primary care services and behavioral health therapies to address co-occurring behavioral health issues which can contribute to addiction, such as depression and anxiety.

Minorities:

We understand racial disparities exist in many forms throughout our society, and at CleanSlate we place extra effort on ensuring all patients have access to the highest quality care. We believe all patients are entitled to addiction treatment options regardless of race, gender or sexuality. We work with our minority patients to develop addiction treatment plans that work for them and are fortunate to have a diverse staff to help keep us accountable in meeting the needs of people from various backgrounds and ethnicities.

Veterans:

Many veterans suffering from addiction experience co-occurring behavioral health issues, such as depression or post-traumatic stress disorder, stemming from their military experience. CleanSlate’s integrated approach combines medication-assisted treatment, primary care services and behavioral health therapies to address addiction to one or multiple substances and co-occurring disorders. Our care providers receive specialized training through PsychArmor, which prepares them to better care for our military and veteran patients. Additionally, we offer support groups specifically for our veteran and military patients to ensure their unique needs are addressed.

Women:

Women often face different challenges when it comes to their addiction and recovery. Research shows factors such as physical or sexual trauma, financial independence, pregnancy and childcare can influence the recovery process for women. At CleanSlate, our staff understands substances affect women differently than men, so we develop treatment plans specifically oriented to address these challenges.

Religious and Faith-Based:

We recognize the role religion and faith can play in a patient’s recovery. While we never impose spirituality as part of a treatment plan, we are happy to support patients who wish to incorporate their faith into their recovery journey. We understand the best addiction treatment requires treating the whole person and meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

People with Disabilities:

Approximately 4.7 million adults in the U.S. have both a substance use disorder and co-existing disability. CleanSlate is committed to ensuring our high-quality addiction treatment is accessible for people with disabilities. Individuals with disabilities are more likely to suffer from substance use disorders and less likely to receive treatment, according to recent studies. We work with our patients to create recovery plans to address their specific needs and overcome common barriers to treatment.
