Person-to-Person Caring—A Family Tradition

The family of former Pennsylvania Governor George M. and Mary Jane Leader has been in the profession of providing quality retirement services for older persons since 1962. The family's main emphasis through the years has been to provide high-quality services at reasonable costs through a well-trained and highly motivated team of professionals. Beyond the Leaders' involvement in the profession, their commitment has never changed—a philosophy of friendly, person-to-person caring that has become a Leader tradition.

For over 50 years, the Leader family has been caring for seniors and their families. From these exchanges, we have gained much experience in guiding residents and families in starting the conversation about moving to a retirement community, finding financial resources available for seniors unbeknownst to them, coping with caregiving and memory loss, and more

Welcome to the Country Meadows website. For over 50 years in senior living we remain family managed and 100% family owned. Country Meadows was founded by my parents, former Pennsylvania Governor (1955-59) and Mrs. George M. Leader.

My father always emphasized the importance of developing lasting relationships with our customers and providing them with value "heaped up and running over." I feel the same way. We feel so strongly about putting our residents and co-workers first that we adopted the following Mission Statement: Our mission is to help seniors lead Purposeful Lives and enjoy Independence, Friendship and Respect.
