Pros
Last month I was going through a life changing period of time. My son was diagnosed with High-risk Neuroblastoma cancer and had to spend two weeks at the hospital and at home as a caregiver/parent. These combinations + work made it really hard to stay concentrated and get projects done. I like to believe that the heart of a studio is defined by how it responds to complicated situations with its artists. Since the day I was brought on, I was welcomed with grace and enthusiasm from the studio and has shown me what a true family-oriented culture is all about. Not only does the studio encourage you to learn/strengthen your skills and abilities, they are supportive during burnouts, personal time and understand that everybody adapts/learns differently. This is a fast-paced studio and you will run into challenges with projects but one thing is for sure, you will have a lot of room to grow as an artist; your feet will never touch the ground.Cons
This is not so much a con as it is a challenge, projects are often times very fast-paced and you will have to put on your "adapting" brain to learn about a project you know nothing about within a short period of time. Luckily, producers do a fantastic job of getting artists up to speed and comfortable for the takeover of the project. We are more than the art we create. Deep Sky celebrates a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. It's what gives us our edge.
We're proud to promote an equitable workplace and of our ongoing efforts towards equal opportunities for the current and future members of Deep Sky.
Diversity is a natural by-product of our practices. Striving to listen, improve, and explore our differences, leads us forward - and we're better for it.
