Lovely Experience

Pros

The most amazing people I've ever worked with. Decent pay. My managers truly care about me and stick up for me, which I can say about very few jobs I've ever had. Workation, unlimited PTO. Remote work. Decent health insurance. Monthly DICE credit. I get to travel for work. Really great vibes and the least amount of toxicity/passive aggression that I've ever felt in a workplace -- I feel super supported by everyone I work with. The product itself is so innovative and has so much potential. I know I also describe a lot of cons, but I really need to emphasize that for me the pros have far outweighed them and I truly believe that DICE has come a long way and will only continue to improve.

Cons

The pay is decent, but I wouldn't say it's especially competitive. The DEI team is lovely and puts so much work into what they do, but hiring still has yet to actually be more diverse. Affected (like many companies were) by tech layoffs a few months ago - notably a lot of those who were let go were POC. There's a long way to go in terms of transparency and long term goals (though I have seen improvement in the time I've been here.) Your experience here hugely depends on the team you are on - myself and most of my team have had almost entirely positive experiences in regards to things that have affected us personally, but close colleagues from different teams have described massively different experiences. Priority is very much always given to the London and NYC offices - most other regions seem to be afterthoughts. (To be fair, these offices are where most employees are, but still.) There is a lot of work still to be done on the product itself but that often seems like it's de-prioritized compared to other things which can be frustrating.

We’re on a mission to create a platform for everyone.

DICE is dedicated to building a live events landscape where everyone feels that they belong, making our company and the industry fairer places in the process. We know that having a variety of perspectives makes us a better company, and it’s essential that our people represent the diversity of the fans we serve.

In 2020, we appointed a Global Head of DEI, reporting directly to the CEO, to mark DEI as a critical function within the business. This has led to a growing global DEI team. At DICE, each department shares a commitment to DEI in their goals, objectives and key results, and we’ve proactively developed five Employee Community Groups, which serve our employees of colour; women and femmes; LGBTQIA employees; neurodiverse employees; and parents and caregivers. These ECGs are set up to provide spaces for our staff to connect, grow and feel supported.

To give you a sense of where we’re headed, here are a few initiatives we’re currently working on.

  • Launching a compulsory Training and Learning Programme for all DICE employees, covering bias, privilege awareness, intersectionality and allyship, among other important subjects.
  • Developing an accessible design framework to optimise the DICE app for fans with different needs.
  • Growing our Global Belonging Programme – a set of events and initiatives to keep everyone connected and included at DICE.

We know that as long as inequality persists in our society, there will always be more for us to do in this space, and we’re excited to take on the challenge. If you have any feedback or suggestions that can help us with this work, please reach out to dei@dice.fm

Our Core Values

We have each other‘s back

In order for our people to be happy in their work, it’s essential that we support each other, listen actively and show gratitude

We are actively responsible
We ask ‘how can I help to solve this?’ rather than ‘why did they get it wrong?’, and we empower each another to find solutions

If we say it, we do it
Changing an entire industry isn’t easy – but whatever we commit to, we stick to it and never let our teammates down

Diversity & Inclusion

A platform for everyone

Creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive DICE

With teams in the UK, France, Spain, Berlin and the US, along with events that stream in over 100 countries, DICE is a platform for everyone – and it’s essential that our people represent the diversity of the fans we serve. We’re dedicated to fostering a culture where everyone feels that they belong, where our voices are heard and where we feel supported to be our authentic selves.

We know that having a variety of perspectives makes us a better company. We also know that there is always work to be done when it comes to diversity, equity and inclusion. Our aim is to make our company and industry fairer for underrepresented communities, so we will continue to hold ourselves accountable and make DEI integral to our business.

Join Us

Help us bring people together through live shows.

Live shows make us feel good. They’re a time to hang with our friends, discover new artists or lose ourselves on a dance floor. DICE is on a mission to bring all of this to more fans, more often – and to do that, we need an exceptional team behind the scenes. If you want to be part of a meaningful change in music and culture, then we can’t wait to meet you.
