I look forward to starting work every day. Each and every day I feel fulfilled and joyful while I am working. The employees here really are top notch, and are AMAZING at what they do! Our nurses are SO thorough, knowledgeable, and dedicated nurses I have EVER met! All of my coworkers I adore. There is nothing bad about working here! The pay is great, the atmosphere is great, and I love helping the people that we work with. The mission of the DEI Core Committee is to be a key partner in making DispatchHealth a company that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion by hiring employees who represent the communities that we serve, effectively training employees to understand health equity issues, enabling us to provide culturally competent care to diverse and underserved communities, and supporting community programs that make a difference in the lives of diverse and underserved communities. These DEI efforts are core to the identify of DispatchHealth and to living out the DispatchWay. As an employee-led group, the DEI Core Committee is committed to advocating for employees and patients and for ensuring that the company stays committed to DEI in everything we do. The DEI Core Committee reports directly to the organization’s Chief Executive Officer and organizes initiatives focusing on three areas to engage stakeholders across the enterprise: our employees, our patients, and our communities.
Our Employees
We aim to increase the number of DispatchHealth employees who come from diverse backgrounds and experiences and to build a culture of inclusion through education and training. We focus on supporting recruitment efforts to build a pipeline of diverse candidates, conducting a survey of employees to learn about their perspectives, gain more data on diversity representation, and identify topics they are interested in learning about or educating colleagues about. We also put special emphasis on clinical recruiting efforts because of the importance of gaining cultural competency among our providers.
Our Patients
We aim to strengthen DispatchHealth’s competencies in providing culturally appropriate care to patients. This work acknowledges the barriers many communities face to access high-quality care and the health inequities that cause many communities to face worse health outcomes. We focus on increasing cultural competencies among clinical staff and across the company through training and education, including the goal of providing a complete care experience in different languages. We also support efforts to increase the representation of medical providers who come from diverse backgrounds and can speak multiple languages at the medical level.

We aim to establish partnerships for employees to support programs that positively impact marginalized and underserved communities. We focus on creating an environment that fosters an inclusive and vibrant atmosphere that promotes health equity through education, advocacy and outreach. We also put emphasis on building meaningful opportunities for engagement and the development of interpersonal relationships internally and externally.
