You get to write about food, and opportunities to try new restaurants early, develop relationships with chefs, and eat a lot of free food.Cons
When I was there, there was no food budget even though we were expected to select the best 38 restaurants in the city, and the best new restaurants for the heat map. It didn't pay well, and no benefits. They were relying on people loving writing about food so much that these other things didn't matter.
