Background:

Our approach to diversity, equity and inclusion is two-fold. First, we launched the ONE eXp initiative in 2019, which is our network of resource groups. Establishing ONE eXp laid the foundation that fosters a purposeful, intentional, diverse and inclusive agent-centric business environment. This initiative not only attracts and supports key talent and promotes fair housing principles, but it creates a competitive advantage to better serve our agents, partners and customers across the globe. Our resource groups include eXp Asian Network, B.E.N. (Black eXp Network), eXp Climate Action Network, eXp Latino, eXp Middle East, eXp Military Network, Power Girls, eXp Pride Network, eXp Seniors Network, S.E.I.N. (Sports, Entertainers, & Influencers Network), eXp South Asian Network, and eXp Young Professionals.

In 2022, eXp Realty established the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. This formality added  a dedicated staff to build on the successes of ONE eXp, offer monthly DEI training, provide leadership and guidance for ONE eXp, and support the company in its mission of becoming the most diverse, equitable and inclusive real estate brokerage in the world. 

Our offerings are multi-faceted and intersectional. eXp Realty offers ICONversations with high-performing agents sharing their wisdom, cultural competency training, panel discussions that allow for agents and staff to share their personal stories to grow our cultural empathy, and much more. We also promote a sense of community by encouraging agent and staff participation in our ONE eXp resource groups. Additionally, we have an eXp Champions Program, where staff and agents can be nominated as subject matter experts and leaders on topics not covered by an existing ONE eXp affinity group. The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion also has an open door policy, so that concerns can be addressed efficiently and effectively. We believe that you can and should always keep learning, and we encourage that belief at every opportunity.

FOUNDER

When we set out to transform the real estate experience, I personally thought about what would it take for me, having been a real estate agent, to want to be at eXp over the long haul. It needed to be the place that I would be working at if it existed, which to a large extent had to do with how we thought about compensation and equity opportunities.

We also knew that we had to create a great environment to work. A place that empowers agents to manage their own businesses while receiving top-notch technology and training, and quick support. A place where entrepreneurial agents can voice their opinions and be heard. And a place where agents can plan for their family’s future.
