Our founder established Extensis in 1997 after he saw firsthand how complicated it is to be a small and medium sized business.
Making matters even more difficult, none of his HR vendors took time to understand his company—and they didn’t talk to each other.

Extensis was built to solve these issues, offer better HR solutions, and give business owners peace of mind.

• We hold ourselves to a higher standard. Extensis is among the five percent of PEOs with an Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) accreditation, the nationally recognized gold standard for PEO reliability and financial assurance.

Additionally, we are recognized by the Certification Institute for meeting industry professional risk management best practices for creating safe work environments and effectively managing workers' compensation losses.

For over two decades, Extensis has grown to be one of the largest PEOs in the U.S. and the fastest growing PEO in the Northeast. We work exclusively with our insurance broker partners to better understand our clients’ true needs. We provide PEO services in all 50 states to entrepreneurial companies with 10 to 125 employees.

The Extensis Mentoring Program provides employees with an opportunity to grow their careers through a mutually beneficial mentoring relationship. Research shows that mentoring is an extremely effective way for people to develop new skills, understand how the business works, and develop the “know-how” to deal with people and problems. The power of mentoring is that it creates a one-of-a-kind opportunity for collaboration, goal achievement and problem-solving.
