The work load can be overwhelming

As part of a Black-owned, certified Minority Business Enterprise, diversity has always been a part of Fearless’ identity. We strive to be not only a diverse workplace, but an equitable and inclusive one as well.

In 2019, we set a strategic goal of employing 50% women and 50% people of color by 2024. And in 2020, we strengthened our commitment to improving racial equity at Fearless. 

Diversity Programs and Initiatives within the Fearless Digital division: 

  • Skills Acceleration Program - This was designed to support the career growth of people from underrepresented groups who have less than two years of experience in tech. This one-year, paid, cohort-based work program provides on-the-job learning, coaching, and experience.
  • Hutch - A Fearless-established, 24-month incubator program that provides underrepresented entrepreneurs with tools for building successful and impactful government digital services firms.
  • Employee Resource Groups - We have Slack channels and groups around various DEI topics. These include communities of interest for women in tech and accessibility, channels dedicated to topics like racial justice, and clubs focused on everything from Latino/Latinx culture to neurodiversity.
  • Bias Checks - We conduct bias checks on all salary offers and are intentionally building a diverse team of recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Inclusive Job Postings - We review language for bias to ensure we craft inclusive job postings and interview questions.
