My amazing experience as a fully remote employee in the US working with colleagues across the globe.
Pros
- The Culture - We show up as our authentic selves and are appreciated for our efforts and contributions. It is very much a family-style environment where we take time to engage with each other and connect, even when working remotely. - The Benefits - I am so happy with our benefits! They are very competitive in the US Market with unlimited PTO and 4-day work weeks in August. I am a fully remote employee with a flex schedule and know my colleagues also enjoy our flex/remote work options. Also, are training budget and working with a collaborative and supportive global team. - The People - I work with so many extraordinary people across the globe who have enriched my life with their passion, energy, commitment, and kindness they have shown me. - My Boss - Working in a non-micromanaged environment is critical for me! I am trusted and counted on, which is the best feeling. My work, efforts, and thoughts are also valued and respected. - The Founders - I have spoken to our Founders and interacted with two of them frequently, including our CEO, Nuno. They have been nothing but kind and encouraging to me. They have also been great business partners in different initiatives that we have worked on together. - D&I - We have an inclusive and diverse environment that we work on daily to ensure it remains that way and only gets better. We put practices in place, celebrate our differences, and have workshops that allow us to explore diverse thinking, essential and relevant D&I topics, and what we can do better as a whole. We have common business challenges and opportunities, and we have an open door policy, engagement surveys, and anonymous ways for employees to give feedback. We work actively on said feedback to improve and grow as individuals and a company, which are all pros for me.Cons
