FORVIS was founded through the combined legacies of BKD CPAs & Advisors and Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG). As we write the next chapter of our story, it is important to look back at where we came from.

Founded in 1923, BKD CPAs & Advisors offered clients a variety of services in accounting, audit and assurance, and tax as well as risk management, technology and cybersecurity, wealth management, valuation services and more. Prior to merging with DHG, BKD employed more than 3,400 dedicated professionals who served clients in all 50 states and in myriad industries. BKD ranked in the Top-15 professional service firms in the United States.  

About DHG 

Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG) was founded in 1959 and offered comprehensive assurance, tax and advisory services. DHG focused on major industry lines and served clients in all 50 states as well as internationally. Prior to merging with BKD, DHG employed 2,000 people in 13 states, and ranked among the nation’s Top-20 professional services firms.
