For their software engineering: - Employees are valued. - Great work/life balance. - Engineering Culture of honesty,trust, and straight communication. - Interesting technical problem domains. - Diversity and Inclusion are not just empty words/concepts but are actively a part of the overall company culture. - Scaled Agile Framework process makes planning and executing day to day work quite tractable. - Fully remote-friendly for most (if not all) software engineering roles. - Managers at line level are also hands-on coders and have quite a bit of technical and domain expertise. - Management is approachable at all levels.Cons
The cons are mostly around Gracenote's parent company, Nielsen. - Parent company (Nielsen) red-tapism can get onerous at times, but Gracenote management shields their managees as much as possible to minimize this. - Pay is a bit below market standards. - Career path and advancement can be a mite murky/ill-defined.
