Pros

Jimdo is a place filled with talented, dedicated people who are myopically focused on achieving their mission of helping their customers be successful. If you're a person looking to learn new skills, take on additional responsibility, be challenged by complex projects and develop your career, this is THE place for you to be. Additionally, Jimdo is incredibly flexible and treats their employees like humans, values diversity, asks for employee's opinions, is super transparent and invests in their employee's development.

Cons

Jimdo is in a period of transition and change (almost all for the better). However, you have to know that, and want that. As examples, policies evolve, new people are hired, new products are always launched, tests occur constantly, etc. If you are looking for a place that will allow you to skate by without hard work, this is NOT the place for you.

Working at Jimdo means partnering with 250 employees from 50 nationalities located in 20 countries. We cherish the diversity of backgrounds, experiences, world views, and personal identities that team Jimdo represents. However, this diversity means that we need to be aware and intentional about how we show up with each other in everyday interactions. We work hard at becoming a more inclusive workplace where everyone belongs. This work will never be complete, but we’re determined to continuously make meaningful progress.

To support this progress and to create accountability among the team members, we have the following initiatives in place:

  • Jimdo DEI Council

    Jimdo DEI Council is a group of employee volunteers who drive the DEI agenda at Jimdo. The Council helps create awareness around DEI issues, identifies areas for improvement, and implements initiatives to create change. The Council has selected the following priority topics for this year:
    • Accessibility
    • Allyship 
    • Empowerment of Women in Tech
    • Cultural diversity
    • Support of the LGBTQIA community 

  • Employee Resource Groups

    Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and values. Jimdo encourages employees to join, participate in and/or start new ERGs. At the moment, we have two active ERGs: Jimdo Women in Tech and Pride. 

  • Company DEI calendar that includes events, learning opportunities, and regular communications.
