Pros
Kairos goes out of its way to improve the employee experience, first friday holidays (extra 12 days of vacation per year), No medical insurance premiums, free lunches every week, fancy coffee/expresso machines, free snacks etc. I think Kairos is really going for that bay area tech. job vibe. Pay is solid but not stellar, at least for the Albuquerque location. But the benfitis are amazing, especially if you have a family. The work is very interesting and there is flexibility to move to different projects or teams if you desire.Cons
I think Kairos's priority in where it staffs resources isn't great. I worry it is becoming a bit bloated in some areas and allowing strategic areas of the buisness to flounder. And quite frankly, it is pretty hard to actually get fired here, so we have accumulated alot of dead weight in key roles. If the company fails I think this would be the primary reason. There are many talented people in the company but Kairos relies heavily on them pluging the holes in the ship instead of hiring in extra people in those key areas to help. Ultimately, what we are trying to do is very hard and there are many trade offs we are still figureing out.Top Work Places, Top Workplaces, LLC, 2023 America’s Best Startup Employers, Forbes, 2023
