Backgrounds We Look For
We seek smart, driven individuals who can contribute expertise gained from a variety of past experiences. Our staff of industry specialists includes PhDs, MBAs, and a number of professional designations including CFA charterholders. But you don’t necessarily need a business degree or a finance background for every role at Morningstar. We prize both creativity and analytical ability; a varied, interesting background gets our attention. You’ll find people at all levels of the company with degrees that range from Russian literature to history, English, and psychology.
A Variety of Roles

The Morningstar Development Program is a two-year opportunity that provides recent college graduates the ability to explore different career paths through full-time placement in one of our offices. During the two-year program, participants will receive ongoing career development, mentorship and training, and apprenticeship opportunities with various business groups, such as investment management, data, tech, and research.
