Great emphasis on product quality instead of deadlines and process. Health benefits are slightly above standard, but "unlimited" time off is great. If you've never had this, there is no better feeling when you're sick than not having to calculate if you can afford to take a day off. While team dynamics are specific to each team, I was hired into one that I absolutely love being a part of. Career development and mentorship takes front row with Optimizely as well. They are interested in developing me in my career and in return I'm very compelled to stay as long as possible. Most coworkers are very open. Great care is taken to assess culture fit and obstinate and combative coworkers are rare. There is no gossip culture in my corner. The company works hard on D&I, as we're global, it's very amazing to work with people in areas of the world with very different perspectives. It is a very deep management structure. I am used to flat Swedish organizations where the CEO has frequent, random conversations with everyone. While there are many levels, I have never been under the impression that there's an established chain of command, as I'm encouraged to bring concerns or comments to any level of management. I believe this may be a vestige of the organization's history, which is one of acquisitions.
