Pros

There are many days when I exclaim, "I love my job!" My job duties are engaging, challenging and interesting. The best part of Sitecore is the people; so many employees have become my friends. It's also really cool to work at an international company and learn about other countries and cultures. Leaders and HR listened to my concerns and took action on them. That response was humbling and motivating. My work load varies. Sometimes I'm really busy and work 10-12 hours in a day; however, that's balanced with other days that aren't so hectic. I'm encouraged to take time off. I rarely get emails on weekends or holidays. Time off is taken VERY seriously.

Cons

While being an international company is really cool, sometimes education and certifications don't translate to other countries. What this means is that the expectations of a certain kind of professional in one country is different in another. It's a huge hurdle to overcome and requires lots of patience and persistence in explaining your education and experience over and over again. Also, Sitecore needs to improve with recruiting, welcoming and retaining marginalized people (e.g. racial minorities, LGBTQIA and people with disabilities).
